Hi! I’m Naomi, I’m 29 years old and I live in the Battery Park City/Tribeca area! I had two cats growing up, one long hair Siamese mix that my mom adopted from the local pound, and one short hair calico that we rescued from a traumatic home environment. Both kitties were so special to me, because I had older brothers who moved out for college by the time I was 7. At that age, having your brothers leave for another state across the country - it makes you feel like an only child. Luckily I always had my cats as my furry friends to play with and keep me company, so I was never lonely! Miss Kitty, my Siamese cat lived to be 25 years old - she was a true angel!!!! Sadie, my calico, ran away while I was in college, so I’ve really been missing her, and missing having cats of my own. Living in NYC, I’ve discovered Meowtel as a wonderful way to help my community of like-minded cat-lovers, and I’ve now been with them for 2 years. I love my clients and treat their kitties as if they were my own - I will always send multiple photos (& videos) from each visit, I change the litter and provide fresh water, and feed them every visit, as per my kitties nutritional needs - this is typically provided by my clients verbally at our initial meet & greets, or over the phone! My profile photo is a pic of me holding my neighbors cute cat Mahita, who I have taken care of over the past three years. I’d like to continue taking care of cats around NYC and expand my little business here! Our cat is usually unhappy after we return, peeved that we had the nerve to "abandon" him...which usually manifests itself in a few days of chomping on my husband's arm. However, when Naomi watches Ross, that hasn't happened, so she is definitely doing something right! Kudos to Naomi.

Naomi was phenomenal. This was my first time leaving my cats overnight but I immediately trusted her and knew they were in great hands. She kept me updated with pics, videos and texts. She has the perfect demeanor for any type of cat personality. She is super patient and gentle. I had to leave town unexpectedly and Naomi was able to fit me into her schedule despite the last minute request. Overall, I felt really comfortable with the whole process and would highly, highly recommend Naomi. I’m looking forward to her next visit and can’t wait to book her again - I just hope everyone else doesn’t beat me to it!

This was the first time working with Naomi and we had a fantastic experience! She was kind enough to do a video introduction chat so we could talk and get to know one another (and the cat!) a bit. Shortly after she visited our cat Lola each day for 7 days while we were on vacation and it went without a hitch! Naomi is super communicative so we never had to wonder at all how Lola was doing or if she was being fed enough, etc. I can't wait to work with Naomi again!

Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

New York cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $31.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet!
