I have experience giving medicine, separating siblings during mealtime, accommodating multiple diets, and even ta... Hi! My name is Karalyne and I grew up with six cats with many, many personalities: outgoing, shy, anxious, affectionate, independent, fiesty…you name it.
I know that being patient and earning your cat’s trust up front are incredibly important to keeping them stress-free while you are away.
I have experience giving medicine, separating siblings during mealtime, accommodating multiple diets, and even taking care of a cat with a broken arm.
I’d love to know your cats typical behaviors and favorite scratch spots, toys, and treats. During visit, I’ll refresh food and water, scoop and/or change litter box, administer medicine if needed, have a bit of social time if wanted, and then send you an update with pictures.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love a cat’s personality starting to come out more and more each visit. I respect that their trust has to be earned, and that’s why they are amazing.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
My family in Nashville has five cats! Their names are Emily, Theodore, Tonya, Cosette, and Claire, but they go by Amelia, Theepy Deepy, Ton Ton, Coco Puff, and Clairabeaufiful, respectively.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I like to meet them on their level by sitting on the ground, cross-legged to become less intimidating. I always follow their lead and let them approach me if they want.

My sweet, shy cat Argo has CKD, and right before our trip, she was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection and needed urgent medication twice a day. Karalyne didn’t hesitate at all to take this on. She patiently gave our kitty three different medications and kept everything very organized. The medications had strict timing requirements, including some that needed to be given before meals and others during meals, and she handled everything perfectly. I’m also very grateful for how flexible and accommodating she was with my changing instructions. We really appreciate the wonderful care she gave our kitty.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

New York cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $31.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
