During COVID, I adopted a cat of my own (separate from our family cats) to keep me company when I went back to a very different college experience. That little boy became the love of my whole entire life and honestly the reason I got through that last strange year of college. Having someone depend on me and keep me entertained helped more than I knew it would. I loved cats a LOT before I owned my little guy, but he made me realize I truly cannot live without them... I have had cats since the very moment I was born. They truly do make the world go round.

Now that I’m living at home again, I’m surrounded by three kitties 24/7. What more could you ask for?
My family recently had a sick kitty that had to have a feeding tube placed. I mention this because this means I now have plenty of experience in giving cats medications and using/caring for feline feeding tubes.
Drop in visits will include activities like playtime, treat time, snuggle time, and checking on food, water, and litter box. I can also bring in mail, take out garbage, water house plants, etc. Say the word and consider it done!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have been cat sitting for about two years now and I absolutely love it. Having three cats of my own, I know how difficult it is to leave your kitties for one hour or two weeks. Cat sitting gives me the opportunity to make kitty parents feel more comfortable and know their pets are safe and sound. I love sending photos and fun little updates.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have three cats of my own! Stitch and Belle are both 13 years old. I adopted Nemo during the pandemic and he’s now three and a half.
Are you usually available during holidays?
I am available to cat sit for 99% of holidays. Please reach out to confirm my availability! Thank you very much!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I have a shy kitty of my own. I know they take a lot of time and patience. If the cat can see me, I’ll sit on the ground for a while with my hand out and speak softly to them. If they are hiding and cannot see me, I’ll still sit on the ground and speak softly to them so they can get used to my voice and smell.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Orchard Park cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
