What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have been cat sitting for about two years now and I absolutely love it. Having three cats of my own, I know how difficult it is to leave your kitties for one hour or two weeks. Cat sitting gives me the opportunity to make kitty parents feel more comfortable and know their pets are safe and sound. I love sending photos and fun little updates.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have three cats of my own! Stitch and Belle are both 13 years old. I adopted Nemo during the pandemic and he’s now three and a half.

Are you usually available during holidays?

I am available to cat sit for 99% of holidays. Please reach out to confirm my availability! Thank you very much!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I have a shy kitty of my own. I know they take a lot of time and patience. If the cat can see me, I’ll sit on the ground for a while with my hand out and speak softly to them. If they are hiding and cannot see me, I’ll still sit on the ground and speak softly to them so they can get used to my voice and smell.

This was my first time using Meowtel. I liked Katherine a lot and will definitely schedule her again the next time we travel. She seems to really like cats. My son is fairly anxious around new people, and she helped him feel comfortable around her. I really appreciated the photos, videos, and updates she sent with each visit.

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
