I consider the cats in my care my clients just as much as their owners. I know how stressful it can be to have someone new in your home and to have your normal routine changed. I know every cat has their own needs and quirks. My main goal with every reservation is to keep you and your cat's vacation as predictable and relaxing as possible!
Clients have told me that I form a special bond with their cats and that I become one of their 'people'. Their cats know they can trust me and so their owners do too!
During our visits I will closely follow any care instructions, tidy up after me and your kitties, keep an eye out for any changes in behavior, and send regular photo and detailed message updates. Whether your cat wants cuddles, playtime, or just for me to get the job done and get out, I always aim for 100% satisfaction!
I work for myself and my schedule is generally flexible. I do visits all over Monroe County and can accommodate short or long term reservations!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have been pet sitting for animals of all types since I was a teenager, and pet sitting for family and friends on and off for about 10 years. Some have involved just quick daily visits, some involved specialized diets with multiple cats, and a few have required pills or topical medicine. I recently renewed my animal cpr certificate and have studied fear-free techniques
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
The cats! Every cat is so different. I love getting to know their unique personalities and getting a peek into their daily lives. What's their favorite afternoon napping spot? What's the best window for bird watching? Do they prefer catnip toys, or dancers?
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have one senior cat, Purrlock Holmes (Pearl, 12) and until this past spring I had my sweet boy Tomie Depawla (9). Tomie was receiving treatment for cancer, a heart condition, and LPR as well as anxiety and Pearl will often throw up if she does not receive her meals at the same exact time every day, so I understand how vital it is to keep a cat's routine consistent! We also recently welcomed two kittens, Cato and Gideon, so I understand how it can sometimes be challenging managing cat's big personalities and meeting everyone's needs!
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes! Early morning (6:00-9:30) or evening holiday visits work best, but with enough advance notice I can make other times work.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Every cat is different, but what I find most helpful is to be predictable. Arrive at about the same time and finish all tasks in the same order, move and talk softly and calmly. I'll sit on the floor (or even lie down, haha) and let kitty sniff my hand if they seem interested, and I don't try to pet until I get a head bump of approval or two.

Taylor took amazing care of our two cats while we were away, and we couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! She sent detailed updates after every visit with photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear that she genuinely cared about our cats and took the time to get to know their different personalities. Our friendly cat, Butters, absolutely loved spending time with her, and she made sure to give him plenty of attention, playtime, brushing, and pets. Our other cat, Moofy, is extremely shy and spent most of the visits hiding, but Taylor was so patient with him. She left treats in his favorite hiding spots and never stopped trying to make him feel comfortable without pushing him. She also went above and beyond by taking care of the litter, trash, recycling, and other little things around the house. We really appreciated how thoughtful, reliable, and communicative she was throughout our trip. We would absolutely book Taylor again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and dependable pet sitter!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Rochester cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $24.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Taylor took care of my boys, Ernie Banks and Henry Aaron, while I was out of town for a week. She checked in each visit and kept me updated. She made sure the boys were well taken care of even though they hid each time she stopped over. This has absolutely nothing to do with Taylor and everything to do with the fact that my boys are big babies! They hide from me sometimes. I highly recommend Taylor and will use her services again in the future.
