Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

I was cat sitting two female adult cats-one very friendly and outgoing, and one very shy that came from a bad home life. The shy cat was rigidly stuck to a corner above the owners kitchen cabinets. I would have to feed her on top of the fridge and make sure the other cat did not eat her food. By the 3rd day of sitting, the shy cat got comfortable enough to eat in front of me and began playing and slowly sniffing me. I was able to open up her personality and was so thrilled that she let me in. She now no longer stays up in that corner.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I like to give a bit of background on my experience with cats and general personality. Then ask for a rundown of where all the important things are and if there are any special needs/preferences the cats like. Then I usually ask for contact preferences and anything else I may need to know about keeping their home/pets safe while they're away

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes-I typically stay in the area over holidays. I will usually pick one of the two major holidays to leave (Thanksgiving or Christmas) for a couple of days to see family.

I think Lydia is excellent as she has multiple years of experience both for her personal cats and her clients. She is reliable and very communicative. She will triple check what food to give what cat, play with them, clean the litter box, and groom them. When I travel I do not have stress because I know I can trust Lydia with my cats and belongings. She is a very compassionate person towards all animals and ensures that all their needs are met before leaving. She also drives half an hour both ways to take care of my cats which I am very appreciative of. Lydia would make an excellent pet sitter.

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
