During visits, Iāll make sure your cat gets plenty of attention, fresh food and water, a clean litter box, playtime, and lots of love. Iām also happy to send photos and updates so you can feel comfortable knowing your kitty is being well cared for while youāre away.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
Iāve been caring for cats and other pets for over five years. I previously used Rover for pet sitting, where I cared for both cats and dogs in their homes. One of my cat-sitting experiences was caring for an elderly cat who needed regular medications, which I was comfortable administering and keeping a close eye on. I also have over five years of veterinary experience, so Iām very comfortable recognizing changes in a catās behavior, appetite, and overall health. I treat every pet like my own and always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I take both the cats and their homeās safety seriously. I always make sure doors and windows are securely closed, check that cats are safely inside, and follow the ownerās instructions for feeding, medications, and routines. Iām careful around doors to prevent escapes and keep anything potentially unsafe out of reach. Before leaving, I double-check that the cats are safe, have everything they need, and that the home is secure. My veterinary experience has also taught me to pay close attention to changes in behavior or health and communicate with owners right away if anything seems unusual
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I always let shy or anxious cats come to me on their own terms. I never want to overwhelm them or force interaction. Iāll give them space, talk to them softly, and use treats or their favorite toys to help them feel more comfortable. With my veterinary experience, Iām also comfortable recognizing signs of stress and knowing when a cat needs some extra space. I want every cat to feel safe and comfortable while their family is away!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
