What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I've been cat sitting since I was 12 years old! In that respect, it's been well over 20 years. As an adult, it has been a significant aspect of my business for nearly 10 years. I love getting to know cats and spending time with them, especially over the years as repeat clients.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have one wonderful gray "business suit" kitty named Jack. A friend said he looks like he's dipped his face into milk, because of his white muzzle and apron. He's 8 years old as of today and is very bright and talkative.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I give them plenty of space, while gently speaking to them as I go about my tasks. Even if they're hiding, I know they can hear and sense me. I often leave out treats for shy cats at the end of a visit to help them associate me with good things. If a shy cat starts to approach me, I'll hold out my hand, without forcing anything. It's best to let them come to me, not the other way around.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.

For reservations where each visit is at or above $20 and paid for through Meowtel, your cat(s) will automatically be covered under our insurance policy in the event that things don't go as planned.
