What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I am just starting out in the professional pet sitting business but I have had pets my whole life and have been the first choice pet sitter for friends and family for decades.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

Cats have such a wide range of temperaments and sensibilities, I find them a joy to be around. Having used pet sitters in the past I know how important it is to have a good one. It can change the whole vibe of your trip when you know you little love is well cared for. I strive to offer that same sense of calm and confidence to others.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

I have a friend who has several Maine Coon cats. When she takes one to a cat show she needs a sitter for the others. I always say, when she is away walking into her house is like walking into a kindergarten class, everyone comes rushing to the door and they all have a different need and a different story to tell. It makes me laugh and feel so glad that I can be there for them to spend some time and make sure all get what makes them happy.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Choose someone who is going to take care of all your cat’s needs. Not just food and water but cleaning the box and giving attention too.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I ask in advance if the cat is typically a door dasher. I don’t want them to get out unless that is usual for this family. Keeping doors and windows closed and locked is always the best practice whether I am in the house or leaving it. It’s also a good idea to bring in people’s mail, packages, and papers so anyone driving by doesn’t know they’re away.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Most holidays I am available, just not Thanksgiving week as that is also my a big birthday week in our family.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

Patience and getting down to their level is the key with anxious and timid cats. One of the best cat sitters I ever had fell asleep laying on my floor waiting for my girl to approach him. He was ever after one of her favorite people.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
