I'm Olivia

Cat Sitting in Cincinnati, OH

Hello! My name is Olivia and I am a cat mom of two, Ember (9 months) and Miko (10 years). The kitty in my profile picture is Ayla. She was my best friend. But unfortunately she had a lot of health issues, and although she fought hard for 5 years, they finally caught up with her and we had to make the extremely difficult decision to help her cross the rainbow bridge in September.

I want to make sure all of my clients know that their cats health, safety, comfort and happiness are my top priority. I’ve watched cats ranging from 5 months to 18 years, and have been to houses with 1 cat to 6 cats. Whether you have a small kitty, an older cat, 1 cat or 6+ cats I can assure you they will be treated with the same love and care as my own!

A little about my cats! We like to call Miko a grumpy grandpa. He is a stubborn boy who is set in his ways, and only likes me and my husband. Ember has recently started trying to play with him which has been so fun to watch...

Ember has recently started trying to play with him which has been so fun to watch. He isn’t into playing much any more so it’s more like her just chasing him around and annoying him like a little sister would do to a big brother.

Ember is the sweetest, most rambunctious kitten. She is obsessed with water at the moment, and will cry in the bathtub until we fill it with a little water for her to play in. She loves watching birds and our resident squirrel eat from the bird feeders on our windows, and testing boundaries by jumping on any higher surface she can and trying to sneak outside.

I also want to share a little about Ayla. Right after Ayla turned 3 she was diagnosed with a rare (for cats) autoimmune disease called Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia, which caused her immune system to attack her red blood cells, causing life threatening anemia. Because of this she went to the vet monthly for blood work and she received daily medication. This disease caused other health issues throughout the years, which made me extremely in tune with her daily habits and body language. Any slight change and I was on the phone with her vet, and I promise to treat your cat with the same devotion and attention.

Now a little about me! I adore cats, and getting to do this as a full time job is a dream of mine. I love a good sitcom, hanging out with friends and family, and being outside when it’s not blazing hot out. My hope is to one day have enough land where I can have all kinds of animals!

Learn More About Olivia

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

When someone books a reservation with me, first thing I do is schedule a meet and greet. I want to get to know you and your kitty! This way the parents can show me where everything is, the cat can meet me with the comfort of its parents there, and if there is any medication I can be shown how to give it properly if needed, or I can give it and the parents can let me know if there is anything different I would need to do. During this time we can also go over schedules, rules, and anything else the parents would like to discuss.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

Making sure your cat is safe will always be my top priority. After entering the house, I will do a headcount to make sure all cats are present and observe them to make sure they are acting normally. I will look around and make sure there is nothing that may have been knocked down or fallen that presents a danger to the cats. I will double check all doors to make sure they are locked every time I visit. If the owner wants, I will turn on different lights each visit to make it look like someone is home, and I will turn on porch lights if wanted. Before I leave I will do another headcount of the cats, and triple check the the door I left out of is locked and secure.

Are you usually available during holidays?

I am available for holiday bookings! I know how important it is to have peace of mind while you’re away, and I’m happy to make sure your cats are well cared for during that time. I just ask for a little flexibility with visit times so I can work around my holiday schedule and still give each kitty the attention they deserve. If the dates are closed, that means I am fully booked!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

As an owner of a timid and anxious cat who will bite and scratch strangers, I know it’s important to let the cat come to you. Even if the cat approaches me, I will not pet them, I will just let them smell me and get used to my scent. Making sure they feel safe and comfortable is my number one goal.

My cats already warmed to Olivia when she stopped by ahead of time to meet them. One of my cats just started a medication and it was great peace of mind knowing they were well cared for.

My experience with Olivia and Meowtel was very positive. She arrived to take care of the cats at about the same time every day and that’s very helpful. I appreciate all the cuddles that she gave them!

This was my first time using Meowtel and after reading Olivia's information, I knew she was my first choice. I was fortunate that she serviced my area and was available. She truly is a caring, responsible, attentive cat sitter! Not only did she give my cat lots of affectionate attention, she left things clean and the house secured. I appreciated her visit updates and photos and knew I left my cat in excellent care! I will definitely want Olivia to take care of my cat the next time I'm away.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

Cincinnati cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet!
