What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
In addition to the obvious benefit of spending the day with adorable cats, I really love getting to form relationships with families. It makes me very proud to be trusted by parents with something as precious as their furbaby, and I love being able to help people be able to travel or live their lives and know that their animals are safe and sound at home
Are you usually available during holidays?
I am! Generally speaking, I’m available for all holidays. The only exceptions would be if I were to travel with my own family, which is a very rare occurrence
What is your favorite cat toy?
My favorite cat toys are either any type of toy attached to a string or a specific type of toy fish that can swim around in water. With the fish toy, it’s so nice to see indoor kitties get a chance to hunt in water (usually a cake pan or 3-4 inches of water in a sink or bathtub), and some get carried away just splashing around or watching a slow drip of water from a faucet. Toys on a string are fun just because of all the leaps kitties will do to catch their prey! And of course the adorable wiggle as they lock their focus before pouncing

Monroe was a wonderful first experience for us as a cat sitter during our wedding and honeymoon! Our cat is on the shy side and they took the time for him to warm up to them. They sent daily pictures and even after a miscommunication responded quickly and corrected the mistake! They also brought packages inside unprompted, which was very much appreciated. We are very thankful and hope to use Monroe as a cat sitter again in the future!

Monroe is the best cat sitter!!! Honestly, we have a grumpy 18 year old cat who is quite a character and requires a little extra love and care. Not only did Monroe manage to charm him, but they went above and beyond with making our grumpy cat feel loved and comfortable in our absence. They made us relax and enjoy our vacation, while also giving our cat one as well!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Dayton cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $23.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
