Cat Sitting in Hilliard, OH

Hello! I am a fellow cat parent of two grey tuxedo cats I rescued from a shelter. I have had cats all my life and honestly love them more than some people. I have an affinity for cats (and animals in general), but mostly cats. I am a singer and I love to volunteer at a cat shelter in my spare time.

I will treat your babies like my own! I love spoiling my cats and I would love to spoil yours with attention, treat, and playtime. I am very detail-oriented and thorough and will ensure your cat(s) will get the very best care...

I have an affinity for cats (and animals in general), but mostly cats. I am a singer and I love to volunteer at a cat shelter in my spare time.

I will treat your babies like my own! I love spoiling my cats and I would love to spoil yours with attention, treat, and playtime. I am very detail-oriented and thorough and will ensure your cat(s) will get the very best care. As a fellow cat parent, I know it can be nervewracking leaving your baby behind, but know that if you entrust their cat to me, they will get the best care and are in good hands.

I consider myself to be a cat whisperer and have learned cat behavior and body language extremely well. My experience not only as a cat mom, but volunteering at a cat shelter I have gotten very good at noticing shifts in cat behavior, signs, and symptoms and will be sure to let you know if something seems out of the ordinary with your cat’s health.

Lastly, I have experience giving cats medicine. One of my childhood cats had diabetes and I have experience giving insulin shots. I also have experience giving pills and have several “tricks” to administer it to cats in my arsenal. One of my current fur babies has a condition where he requires daily eye drops, so I also have experience with that.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

My two fur babies are Remy (9) and Felix (3). They are my whole world and I love gushing about them to anyone who shows mild interest! I rescued them both from Colony Cats. When im not taking care of other cats and dogs, I adore snuggling up with my babies and spoiling them rotten with love, treats, toys, cat furniture, etc.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

Having cats myself, I know to be extremely cautious when entering or exiting a home. It is natural for cats to be curious about the outdoors, but sometimes they can be door dashers. In my own home as well as at the cat shelter I volunteer, I always open outside doors cautiously and keep a close eye out for any cats that could escape. In my dog walking training, I learned not to chase a pet that gets loose or give off panicked energy. You want to approach then cautiously and treats always help to bribe them back inside.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

When dealing with a cat that is particularly timid or anxious, I always pay attention to their boundaries and body language. You want to approach them slowly, calmly, and take things at their pace. I make sure to respect a cat’s boundaries when they tell me they don’t want to be pet or picked up. It takes a lot of parience, but it is so worth it when you win a timid or anxious cat over. I like to get down low to their level and let them smell my hand first off. Bringing a calm and quiet energy is also very important when dealing with these sort of cats.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

Hilliard cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet!
