Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have two cats currently, named Mabel and Luna. Though Mabel prefers to be called Baby, she will respond to any of her given nicknames, such as Piggy, Table, Mabeelé, and Babel. She is a 6 year old tortie with lots of spunk to keep me on my toes! Luna is a more recent addition to the family, though she is already catching on to her new nicknames too! She’s responding to Lulu, Beluga Whale, and Froggy.

What is your favorite cat toy?

If I were my cat, Mabel, I would definitely say anything with feathers! However, a toy mouse, a shoe string, or a laser pointer would all be viable options as well!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

When around more anxious cats, it’s important for them to feel in control of their environment as much as possible. I would meet them where they are at, so to speak. If they need time/space, that is what I will give them. Offering a hand to sniff or treats to eat may be a small step in the right direction, but those small steps are what create important bonds and cannot be overlooked in gaining a cat’s trust.

Emily was great. The initial visit was very thorough. Our cats are shy and skittish but she did manage to convince them to at least come out and look at her, which is far more than has happened with previous cat sitters.

One of them can be a little bit cagey, but Emily was so kind to them and played with them and made sure they had all of their favorite food, toys, and treats. We felt our cats were in great hands under Emily's care and would highly recommend her sitting to anyone looking for a good, reliable sitter in the area.

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
