A little about me: I rescued an orange tabby cat from the nearby woods, who had sustained injuries from an animal attack. I nursed him back to health with lots of love, patience, and care, and I named him Nacho. Now, after 10 wonderful years together, Nacho is my best buddy—he follows me everywhere and is always by my side... I’ve been a cat owner for most of my life, and I truly understand how important it is to provide a safe, loving, and comfortable environment for your feline friend. Whether your kitty enjoys cuddles on the couch, a bit of playtime, or just some quiet company, I’m here to cater to their unique personality and needs.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love meeting each cat because each kitty has its own unique personality and needs. The best part about cat sitting is getting to know each cat and building a bond, whether it's through play, cuddle time, or simply being there as a companion while their owners are away. I enjoy the responsibility of ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away because that’s what I would want if I was away from my kitty.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Absolutely! I’ve been a cat mom for most of my life. I’ve had a special experience with Nacho. He is an orange tabby cat who I spotted alone in the woods adjacent to our home. It took several weeks of patience and some rotisserie chicken to build his trust. We built him a house while he was still living outdoors. One day, he was attacked by an animal and sustained serious injuries. After his surgery, I cared for him for weeks, which included changing his dressing, administering meds, and litter box training. He fully recovered and is not only my best buddy now but the star of our family. I hope I have an opportunity to show how I would care for any kitty with the same attention and care as Nacho!
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
Introduction to a new cat and parents involves a few key steps to build trust and confidence with cat parents. During initial contact, I want to listen and fully understand the needs of each kitty from the cat parent, including their cat-sitting needs, including dates, any special care instructions, and details about their cat(s). Next, I like to schedule an initial visit to meet the cat parent and their cat(s) in person, ask questions, and get to know the cat’s behavior, needs, and routine. I like to review details, such as feeding schedules, litter box cleaning, medication (if applicable), and any other special requirements. Emergency contact information and vet details are also important details. I like to observe how the cat reacts to ensure that they understand the cat’s comfort zone, preferences, and boundaries. If cat parents are comfortable, we can finalize details such as communication preferences, payment and schedule.

Excellent and compassionate cat sitter! We have indoor cats and a couple of feral outdoor cats we care for (and a one paw raccoon that comes by for a snack). Angelia cared for them all very well. Even our 20 year old who is not able to move far and has special needs. Most importantly she sent us reassuring updates. So glad we found Angelia!

We were on vacation for 18 days. Angelia took care of our fur baby Pablo. She sent us pictures and gave him lots of love and affection. We have used Meowtel to take care of him several times now it it has always been a very positive experience. Pablo is on insulin and needs it twice a day and Meowtel has handled it with great care. I will always use them to watch over him in the future.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Powell cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
