What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have been Cat and pet sitting for family and friends since I was 13 but only recently did I start doing it professionally in 2025. I'm fairly new to the meowtel platform, but have been on rover and wag for a little over a year now and I am thrilled to have found a platform that prioritizes cats.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

Getting to meet a new furry friend and provide peace of mind for other pet parents while they are away

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

it's hard to choose just one but it always makes me feel good when a shy baby finally comes out for a pet or snuggle

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Yes! I currently have 4 kitties Peanut, Bunny, Frog and Chickpea. They're all Torties! Frog is long hair and Bunny a Grey muted tortie

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Always start with a meet and greet, phone or video chats can be a great place to start if you've never used a service like meowtel or rover before. Always trust your gut and your kitties instincts, don't be afraid to ask questions and always be sure to keep hard copies of important details and requests that can't be missed for sitters. Be honest with your expectations and feel confident the right sitter will be happy to accommodate you and your pets needs.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

Typically I like to start with a phone call or video chat to ensure things sound like a fit and if all is well we can move foward with an in person meet and greet to ensure our furry friends approve and get the best hands on information to ensure the best care possible.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I'm no stranger to door dashers or furry Houdinis, I always take care to be mindful and enter homes carefully to keep pets safe ensuring doors are fully closed and prefer garage entry's if possible with extreme door dashers to ensure they can't get far if they were to slip past me.

Are you usually available during holidays?

For drop-ins I almost always have some availability on Holidays, Overnight stays are less likely but not out of the question.

What is your favorite cat toy?

my kitties and I LOVE feather wands, we like to turn on some tunes and I start waiving it around for them to catch and chase

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I make sure to give them their space, I won't chase them or try to make them come out of hiding. In person meet and Greets help a lot to make sure the cat gets an opportunity to see and smell me before bookings start. I do my best to stay quiet and keep my energy relaxed to make them feel safe enough to come out, as long as I can ensure they're eating, drinking and using their litter box I'm happy to let them have their space.
