What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

My advice is to know your cat, some cats don’t like when people wear hats, some don’t like dogs, some are cool with anyone and everytime. When hiring a cat sitter these nuances are importnt. If they have dogs at home let them know your cat is dog aggressive so they can make sure there is no dog smell in their clothes. These small thing and make a big difference when it comes to building a relationship with your cat and making sure they feel safe and secure while you are gone.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes, I don’t often leave town for holidays so I am available for drop in and overnight appointments. *not available the days right after Christmas

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

When cats are especially timid I respect their space. I will try to be a calm energy in their environment coax them out with treats or toys. But if that doesn’t work I will just sit in the room they are in and do a quiet activity (usually sudoku) and put their favorite toys or treats next to me. This shows them that I am a safe person and lets them come to me when they are ready.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
