Hello! I am excited to spend time with your loved one while you are away. I was a very proud and very involved cat mom for 10 years. Cats hold such a special place in my heart. Although I do not have my own cat at this time, I have been cat sitting for friends and have been loving providing care. I understand how cats have needs of; socialization, playing, "me time", and attending to basic needs. Being around and caring for cats comes naturally to me and I find that cats warm up nicely and quickly. A typical visit would include playing, checking for any abnormal behavior, attending to food and water bowls, checking litter box, giving as much attention to the cat as it desires during the visit.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I most enjoy the mutual enrichment. I love to play and create strong connections with cats. My goal is to ensure the cat has a good day, however they need. That brings me joy and makes it all worth it.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

I would suggest finding a cat sitter who has good and clear communication. I believe this sets up a foundation of trust. Trust is vital when allowing someone to step in and care for your cat in your absence. I am very open to feedback and clear in my communications.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

Ensuring the safety of the cat and the home is essential. It is a privilege to have access and that should be taken very seriously. I would work with the owners to determine if there are any behaviors that might jeopardize a cat getting outside if they are not supposed to. I am very well versed in doing the shuffle when I walk in or out of the front door. I would never share personal information of the residence or owners, nor allow anyone inside that was not explicitly told otherwise.

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
