What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I’ve watched many cats of my friends and neighbors. I spend time the with their cats, talking and playing with them. I send a report/picture to the owner. I’ve been doing it on and off for friends/neighbors for the past eight years. Recently I had to apply topical Prozac to the ear of my friends’ cat. My friend was worried her cat would give me trouble , but her cat gave me no issues whatsoever because I know how to approach cats and gain their initial trust.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have an 8 year old cat that I adopted from Oregon humane society 7 years ago. Her name is Priscilla but I call her Snuss, Zonk, etc.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Have the potential sitter meet your cat in person and even have the sitter feed your cat in front of you so that your cat will be more accepting of this stranger feeding them food.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes - I have major holidays off and long winter/spring/summer breaks.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

Give them lots of space first of all. While they’re observing me I will read a book or do some quiet activity, maybe talking or singing quietly. I’ll be on the floor or otherwise in a low level.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.

The Meowtel Promise & Satisfaction Guarantee

We are proud to provide each of our independently-contracted Meowtel cat sitters with the full benefits of our Meowtel Promise on eligible reservations. For reservations where each visit is at or above $20 and paid for through Meowtel, your cat(s) will automatically be covered under our insurance policy in the event that things don't go as planned.

If you are not fully satisfied with your sitter after the Meet & Greet or during the reservation, please call 1-844-636-9835 so we can help you re-book with a new sitter to ensure we can deliver on our purrfect hospitality promise.
