I’m Melody, an experienced pet sitter with an established pet-sitting business on another platform. I genuinely love getting to know each animal’s individual personality and have experience caring for cats and dogs with different temperaments, routines, and needs.
When caring for cats, I know every kitty is different, some want lots of affection and playtime, while others prefer their space and need time to warm up. I’m patient and attentive, and I always try to keep their routine as normal and comfortable as possible while their person is away.
I’m happy to handle feeding, fresh water, litter box care, playtime, medication when needed, and plenty of attention and cuddles for cats who want them! I also love sending photos and updates so you can relax knowing your cat is safe, happy, and well cared for. 🐾

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I like to learn as much as I can about your cat before the first visit, including their normal routine, personality, feeding schedule, favorite activities, and any special needs. I also like to know where important supplies are and anything else that will help me keep their routine as consistent as possible. During visits, I’ll send photos and updates so you know how your kitty is doing!
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I treat every home and pet as if they were my own. I’m careful about doors and windows, follow feeding and medication instructions closely, and make sure your cat is safe and comfortable before I leave. I also respect your home and always double-check that everything is secure at the end of each visit.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I’m very patient with timid or anxious cats and never force interaction. I give them the space they need and let them approach me when they feel comfortable. I try to keep their environment calm and their normal routine consistent, while paying attention to their body language and boundaries. Earning the trust of a shy cat is honestly one of my favorite parts of pet sitting!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
