I’m an animal lover in general, but cats have always had a special place in my heart. Honestly, I’m also the person at a party who somehow ends up disappearing from the living room because I found the cat. While everyone else is talking, I’m usually sitting on the floor in another room trying to make friends with the host’s cat. If there’s a cat in the house, there is a very good chance I will find it. It’s basically a running joke with my friends and family at this point.
I’ve been taking care of animals for friends and family for years, whether that meant stopping by to feed their cats, cleaning litter boxes, giving medications or treats when needed, spending time with them, or just making sure they weren’t feeling lonely while their people were away... Hi! I’m Hunter, and I’ve always been a huge cat person. I grew up with cats and can’t remember a time in my life when I didn’t have one around. I currently have three cats of my own, so I know firsthand that every cat has their own personality, routines, quirks, and very specific opinions about how things should be done.

I’ve always enjoyed being the person people can trust to take care of their pets when they can’t be there.
One of my favorite things about cats is that they all have such different personalities. Some cats want attention the second you walk through the door, some need a little time to warm up, and some are perfectly happy just knowing you’re nearby. I’m comfortable with all of them. I never want a cat to feel pressured to interact with me, and I’m more than happy to let them set the pace. If they want to play, I’ll play. If they want to sit beside me, I’ll hang out with them. If they want to hide under the bed and judge me from a distance, that’s okay too!
I’m very attentive to the little things when caring for animals. I’ll make sure food and water are taken care of, litter boxes are clean, medications or other instructions are followed carefully, and your cat’s normal routine is kept as consistent as possible. I’ll also pay attention to changes in their behavior, appetite, bathroom habits, mood, or anything else that seems out of the ordinary. You know your cat better than anyone, so I’ll always follow the information you give me about what is normal for them and what they like or dislike.
I’m happy to spend visits playing, giving pets and attention, brushing them if they enjoy it, giving treats, hanging out with them, or simply keeping them company. I’m also completely comfortable giving a cat space if that’s what they prefer. To me, good pet sitting isn’t about forcing an animal to be social. It’s about making them feel safe and comfortable while their person is away.
I’m currently studying psychology with the goal of eventually becoming a therapist, and I think a lot of the same qualities that are important when working with people are important when caring for animals too. Being patient, observant, dependable, understanding, and respectful of boundaries matters a lot to me. I enjoy getting to know an animal and figuring out what makes them comfortable.
I also understand that pet sitting is about more than just taking care of the cat. You’re trusting someone to come into your home while you’re away, and I don’t take that lightly. I’ll treat your home with the same respect I would want someone to show mine. I’ll follow your instructions, keep things clean and secure, and communicate with you throughout your trip so you’re never left wondering how your cat is doing. I’m always happy to send pictures and updates because I know how much better it feels to see your pet happily lounging around while you’re away.
Having three cats of my own has also taught me that sometimes the smallest details matter. The particular food they like, the way they want their water bowl positioned, which toy they suddenly decided is their favorite, where they like to sleep, or the exact amount of attention they’re willing to tolerate that day. I’m happy to learn all of those little things because I want your cat to feel as comfortable as possible in their own home and routine.
My goal during every visit is simple: I want your cat to feel safe, relaxed, cared for, and loved while you’re away, and I want you to have peace of mind knowing someone is paying close attention to them.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
What I enjoy most about cat sitting is getting to know each cat’s individual personality. I love the little moments, whether that’s a cat coming over for attention, wanting to play, or simply hanging out nearby. I also genuinely enjoy keeping their routines consistent so they feel comfortable while their people are away. And honestly, getting to spend time with cats is pretty hard to beat.

I have an big orange boy named Cuddles, a tiny black girl named Lana and a tuxedo tripod girl named Hope!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Look for someone who genuinely enjoys being around cats and is willing to learn your cat’s individual routine and personality. A good sitter should be dependable, communicative, and comfortable respecting your cat’s boundaries. I’d also recommend doing a meet-and-greet beforehand so you can make sure you and your cat both feel comfortable with them.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Denver cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $31.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
