From a young age I have dedicated myself to caring for all animals that I can. Starting at age 12 I was fostering cats and kittens from my local animal shelter. I would personally make sure that every feline that came into my care was always wel... My name is Emma, I have lived with and cared for cats my whole life, but I also have over four years of experience professionally working with cats and kittens of all ages, temperaments and medical situations.
From a young age I have dedicated myself to caring for all animals that I can. Starting at age 12 I was fostering cats and kittens from my local animal shelter. I would personally make sure that every feline that came into my care was always well fed, socialized, and treated for any medical issues they had.
For the past year I’ve been working at a feline spay neuter clinic as a veterinary technician taking in stray cats and kittens making sure they are fixed and healthy before either releasing them or sending them out to our fosters till they can find loving homes.
I can promise that your fur babies will be safe, happy, and overall, perfectly cared for the whole time they’re under my care.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have 5 kitties of my own. Bella (better known as jelly belly) is my oldest baby and she’s the sweetest fluffiest ragdoll. Then Sweetums and Pixie who were foster fails i just couldn’t part with. Samoa is my beautiful calico who was left behind by the previous owner of our house and we couldn’t resist bringing her in. And finally Peter our sweet baby boy.
Are you usually available during holidays?
I will be available during all holidays to cat sit, but there will be a higher rate on those specific days
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I make sure to give them lots of time and space letting them first get used to my scent being in their area. When it’s feeding time I’ll make sure to leave the food out in a place they feel safe and I’ll maintain my distance while they eat. I’ll sit on the floor letting them approach while remaining still letting them sniff me and approach as they feel more comfortable. Slowly I’ll get closer to them reaching out to play by rolling their favorite toy around or tempting them with treats showing that I’m nothing to be afraid of. I’ll make sure that they are the one to make the first move towards me.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
