I did volunteer at a local shelter in the cat wing while going to school at PSU. My final degree through PSU University Park was an Agricultural ... Though I am sure this will sound over-used, it’s only fitting to say that I am a crazy cat lady! I currently own 3 of my own, but have had upwards of 9 at a time. I was a full-time vet tech, local in Hanover, and loved my kitty clients there for sure!
I did volunteer at a local shelter in the cat wing while going to school at PSU. My final degree through PSU University Park was an Agricultural Science degree with a minor in Animal Science.
I am flexible throughout the week during the day and on weekends. I am willing to stay in-home with your babies while you are away, if needed! I am also comfortable working with any cat that needs medication, daily blood sugar checks and insulin to be given, difficult cats, and special needs kitties. (I’ve seen it all working in the vet field!)

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Look for someone that will love your kitties like their own! Do a meet and greet! Your kitty(ies) are your best indicator of whether or not a sitter is a great fit for them! 🐾

Most holidays, yes, I am available on/during holidays! Please reach out if you are in need of a Holiday sitter and I am more than happy to talk with you about my availability for those dates!
What is your favorite cat toy?
Lasers, for sure! But any toy is my favorite if it is your kitties favorite!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Go at their own pace, let them get comfortable around you before invading their space. I will usually sit on the floor at their level and let them come smell me and walk around me before attempting to pet them. Speaking softly to them and just making them overall comfortable.

Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Hanover cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
