Cat Sitting in Havertown, PA
I would probably adopt a few more if those two weren't so territorial and competitive for their humans' affection! When I was about 6-7 years old, a litter of feral cats appeared in the barn of my grandparents' farm in rural Virginia, and I spent hours trying to clean their eyes and make them comfortable with humans. There was one kitten in particular that needed extra TLC, and I will never forgot trying to help that little guy... I have owned and taken loving care of cats for almost 50 years. I got my first cat for Christmas when I was 4, and over time I have been the devoted parent to Teeta (1974-1992), Poldy (1996-2009), and currently Pepper and Pilot, 10 year old siblings.
I would probably adopt a few more if those two weren't so territorial and competitive for their humans' affection! That was the beginning of my time learning how to be patient, affectionate, and fun with cats -- they tend to trust me pretty quickly, sensing that I love them more than any other animal.
I am a teacher, so I have a lot of flexibility in the summer to take care of your kitties. Also as a teacher my entire existence is centered in communication, and I find that my ability to communicate with kids translates well to communication with cats (and their owners). I know that making a connection with trust takes a little time and is vital for anything else to work :). My teaching career has also made me exceptionally organized and responsible.
During the school year, anything in the early morning (before 8 AM) or in the late afternoon/early evening is best for me to visit. Summer, again, is flexible, perhaps with morning/early afternoon hours being preferred, but whatever works for you and your cats! I live in Havertown and would prefer the immediately surrounding neighborhoods in Delco and Montgomery County. Thank you for considering me to take care of your furbabies!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have taken care of cats (and a few dogs!) for neighbors and friends for my entire adult life.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Every cat has its own amazing personality, and I love to discover the unique qualities of each cat I meet.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Two beloved cats, Pepper and Pilot. They are 10 year old siblings that we adopted as newborns.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I am happy to send photos, texts, etc to show that all is well. Whatever the client prefers!
Are you usually available during holidays?
I am usually local during holidays. We sometimes go away for a few days after Christmas, but that depends on the year.
What is your favorite cat toy?
All of them!! Whatever the cat likes :)
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I am very, very patient with cats. I know how scared they must be when someone new is in their home. I stay calm and loving, following the cat's lead.

Hannah was absolutely amazing! We wanted to bring our cat to our wedding but the hotel wouldn’t alllow pets. We wanted to make sure he was well cared for while we were away and found Hannah. Hannah came over and met our cat and he absolutely loved her! She gave us updates and pictures every visit and even played with him/scratched him. He had an amazing time! I went away to Europe for about 10 days and relied heavily on Hannah for my two kitties— one very shy. Hannah showed such kindness and great care that my shy boy was coming up to her and giving her affection within the first few days!! She was amazing. Communicative, loving, flexible, and showed such huge amounts of care for not only my kitties, but for me as well while I was away. I felt at peace and happy that they were in Hannah’s great hands. Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:

- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Havertown cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $28.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Hannah was a wonderful cat sitter for my 2 senior cats Troy and Moxie, who had never had a cat sitter before. Hannah was very responsive - answering my questions before hiring her, she was engaged and asked great questions during the meet and greet, she was caring and attentive during visits, and she provided detailed updates and photos after each visit. This is the second time I’ve hired Hannah, and I did so for obvious reasons… She’s simply amazing! She responded to me very quickly, and she really loves my senior cat, who remembered her after only one visit last year! Hannah replied to every single chat quickly, and lots of super cute pictures which was so reassuring, and I could see that my cat really loves her. My cat was absolutely so cheerful when I returned home, and I know this is because she felt safe, loved and cared for by Hannah. I highly recommend her without hesitation!
