What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have been pet sitting for about 5 years and have watched a variety of pets! Taking care of my own pets also provides extensive knowledge about a cat’s individual needs.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love getting to learn each cats unique personalities! As with my own cats, every pet is different as are their specific needs. Especially when you have a cat that makes you work for their trust. It makes the moment all the more special

I have four of my own cats; Squish, Fish, Koda, Mouse, and I take care of my housemates cat Donut!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Be picky! Do not be afraid to ask questions. If the potential sitter feels offended, they are not the right sitter!
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
My process includes communicating the specific needs with the pet parent and discovering any behaviors to be prepared for. I always recommend a meet and greet prior to the visit days to ensure the cat is used to me.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
Safety is a top priority for me! I kept my own cats equipped with AirTags for added precaution. Obviously that’s not necessary for everyone but I am very particular about closing doors behind me, double checking, and locking all doors.
What is your favorite cat toy?
I really love to use lasers and stick toys! I feel like they provide the most interaction, exercise, and stimulation for cats.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Having a timid and anxious cat myself, I have developed a pretty good sense of understanding. It can take a cat time to trust someone, it may not even be the first visit. It’s important to go slow, stay calm, and listen to the animal. They will tell you how they are feeling. I always include toys and treats that are familiar to the animal to add ease to the new situation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
