What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
What I enjoy most about cat sitting is getting to spend time with different cats and learning their unique personalities. I love making them feel comfortable, safe, and loved while their owners are away. Whether itās playing with them, giving them attention, or simply keeping them company, it makes me happy knowing theyāre being cared for. I also enjoy building trust with each cat and seeing them become comfortable around me.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I actually have a cat named Momo who I rescued off the street about a year ago. Ever since then, heās become my little furry best friend! Rescuing him has made me appreciate the special bond you can build with animals even more. I love seeing their personalities come out as they get comfortable and feel safe around you. Momo has definitely brought a lot of joy into my life!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
My advice would be to take your time finding someone you feel comfortable and confident leaving your furry friend with. Make sure your sitter is patient, trustworthy, responsible, and genuinely loves animals. Donāt be afraid to ask questions, share your catās routine, or mention any special needs or preferences they may have. I also recommend looking for someone who communicates regularly and provides updates and pictures while youāre away. Most importantly, choose someone who will treat your cat like family and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved.

If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
