I work full-time as a English teacher for adu... I’ve always been a cat person. With two cats of my own, one of which is older with special needs including daily insulin injections, I know how important it is to find a responsible pet sitter. I love all cats and will treat your pets as my own, following your instructions carefully and making sure they are well fed with clean litter and plenty of playtime!
I work full-time as a English teacher for adult immigrants, but my schedule is flexible — I’m especially free on weekday afternoons and weekends to spend plenty of time with your cat. Even though cats are often independent, I believe it’s important to show them lots of love and affection during drop-ins or house stays. What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love meeting new animals and learning more about their habits and personalities! I also love giving fellow pet parents peace of mind while they’re away. I love to travel but always worry about my cats while I’m gone, so providing great care to others’ pets is important to me. I love taking tons of photos of my cat clients and seeing the joy the photos bring to each pet parent.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
My two cats, Rocky and Winston, mean the world to me! Rocky was my first-ever pet, and I adopted him in 2020 when I was lonely during the pandemic. He’s almost 7 years old now and has been with me through countless life changes and moves (including abroad to Spain!). Last year, I added Winston to my family after meeting him at PetSmart. At the time, he was the oldest adoptable cat and had been in the shelter the longest. He has chronic health conditions such as FIV and diabetes, so I’m more than comfortable with administering both oral and injected medication to cats.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Trust the reviews and host the sitter for a meet & greet at your home before the sit. Meeting a cat sitter beforehand is so helpful – you can see them interact with your pets to make sure the cats will be well taken care of. Additionally, the more information you can provide, the better! I actually find detailed instructions or house sitting guides preferable to basic information. I want to take care of your pet to the best of my ability, so feel free to tell me alllll of the habits and preferences you have for cat care. I’ll do my best to follow them!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:

- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day
- November 23-29: Thanksgiving
- December 22-28: Christmas
- December 29-31: New Year's 2027

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Philadelphia cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
