I have been a cat owner in the past and have also done long-term and short-term catsits, ranging from multi-week overnight stays to one-day drop-in visits. Currently in my hometown of Philadelphia, I am the primary catsitter for two senior cats owned by a couple who travels frequently.
I have experience catsitting across a wide range of households and circumstances. I have experience catsitting in the US and abroad... Over the past 10 years, I have built my experience as a caretaker for cats. Fostering friendships with cats has been one of life's most rewarding experiences for me. I love getting to know their unique personalities and spending time with them.

I've mostly cared for indoor cats, though I have occasionally cared for indoor/outdoor cats, and I follow specific guidance from owners regarding each cat's access to the outdoors. I've catsit in multi-cat and single-cat households and I love to learn the dynamics of how the cats interact with each other and with me. I've cared for kittens, adults, and senior cats and I am attentive to their individual interests, needs, and routines. I've cared for cats with medical conditions and have administered medications (pills, oral syringes, topical ointments).
As a former biology teacher, I also have experience caring for other small animals (lizards, tortoises, rabbits, chinchillas, hamsters, fish), as well as plants and small gardens.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
My favorite household to catsit for is a family with three cats: Hammy, Mimi, and Lola. Hammy is a three-legged senior cat, and he loves being held and cuddling. Mimi is a shy young adult cat, and I have loved earning her trust and some occasional lap-sits. Lola is a younger adult cat with a very eccentric and outgoing personality, and she loves to play. They have a catio outside where they love to birdwatch together. It has been such a pleasure getting to know each of them, appreciating their quirks, and learning how they relate to each other.
Are you usually available during holidays?
I am usually available for holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. I am happy to spend time with cats during the holidays!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
When caring for cats who are particularly shy or anxious, I pay attention to their behaviors and I make sure to respect their space (though I would do this with any cat). I let them adjust to the circumstances at their own pace. I try to make sure their eating conditions are as comfortable as possible so they are not skipping meals.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Philadelphia cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
