What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

In addition to caring for my own cats and fosters, I've been cat and dog sitting for more than 10 years for friends, neighbors, and family. I've done volunteer, rescue, TNR, and fostering for rescue orgs such as The Cat Collaborative and Project MEOW. I've helped place cats for adoption after fostering.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have two cats: Céline (named after Céline Dion) and Domino who was a TNR but decided he liked my house a little better than the shelters I made in the backyard. I recently lost my cat (Assata) of 19 years to kidney disease but we had a great life together.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

If possible, I want to meet with them either virtually or in person to get a sense of their cats' needs as well as what they have set up for the day to day care. Routines are really important for cats and I want to ensure I understand their needs, wants, and the responsibilities of that particular household. For me, it's about finding a good fit and that both parent and cat feel comfortable and safe.

Janelle has administered medications for several illnesses, always with care and patience. From pill tablets to needle-based medications, she's approached the administration of medicine with the comfort of the cats in mind. And as some who has watched over her cats from time to time, she takes their care seriously even when she is away, leaving carefully detailed instructions that includes pictures. Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
