What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
In addition to many years caring for my own cats, I have been cat sitting for friends, family and clients for about 4 years.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I always locate the cat or cats upon entering the home. This ensures they have not gotten themselves into a place where they should not be. The most important aspect is to make sure the cat does not escape during my entering and exiting the home. Doors are triple checked to make sure they are locked and the key is secured with me and not being locked inside. If I come across a choking hazard, it is picked up and placed in drawer or other secure location or it is discarded. I will inform you if that happens.
What is your favorite cat toy?
The toys with the stick like handle attached to something at the end of a long string and the spinning item under a mat are my favorite cat toys.

Kelly was an exceptional caretaker to our 3 cats. Her communication was excellent - she kept us updated on everything that was happening at home so that we felt well-connected the entire time we were away. She took great care of the cats, keeping things clean, orderly, and on schedule for them. She had to give one of the cats eye drops 2x a day and handled that minor challenge with no issues. We feel lucky to have found her and will absolutely use her in the future and recommend her to our friends! You really couldn't ask for better.

Kelly was great with our 2 cats!. She sent daily updates with pics and seemed to love getting to know them. She ensured they were fed, had water & food, and their litter boxes were cleaned, and even managed our mail. And upon our return, the cats were not mad at us for leaving, which they had been in the past when they didn’t have a good time with their sitter!! 🩷 Would absolutely request Kelly the next time!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Spring City cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

I trusted Kelly with house sitting my kitties while my husband and I went away over Thanksgiving 2024. She has my house key, whenever I need her to sit. She is up early to feed my kitties their wet food and back in the evening to feed them their dry food. I am positive she is the special person for the work you asked of her.
