Hi, I’m Caroline and thank you for checking out my profile! I’ve never met a cat I didn’t like, so I’m definitely a cat person. I’ve “owned” cats for over 20 years and started volunteering in cat rescue about 10 years ago. I’ve fostered dozens of kittens and have been privileged to facilitate happy homes for them. I now have my own informal cat rescue organization that specializes in T-N-R and feral cat colony management.

I have six rescue cats at home, ranging in age from 11 years old to 2 years old. In order of age: Huck, Edgar, Benjamin, Colby, Evie, and Ernestine (Ernie). My husband now wishes that I made a vow to love, honor, and not obtain more than three cats... Hi, I’m Caroline and thank you for checking out my profile! My husband now wishes that I made a vow to love, honor, and not obtain more than three cats. 🤣Seriously though, I’m a devoted cat mom and I would do anything for my “kids”.

I work as an architectural historian, mostly from home, so I have a flexible schedule. When I’m not working, I’m listening to audiobooks. Historical fiction and biographies are my favorite genres. I also love to travel, especially to the United Kingdom and Europe.

I’m 100% comfortable with all types of cats, even hissy ones. I have two special needs cats at home, so giving medication has become a specialty. I have experience in giving oral medication, eye and ear drops, and topical ointments. I’ve also nursed two of my beloved former cats (RIP Amelia and Watson) through Kidney Failure, so I can give Sub-Q fluids. I’ve not given injections yet, but am confident that I can learn.

In short, you can absolutely trust me to care for your cats as I would my own. I look forward to meeting you and your furry children.

This was my first time using Meowtel and Caroline has set the bar high!! We went out of town for a long weekend and had Caroline drop by in the evenings to check on the cats and feed them dinner. Caroline is the best! Our cat needs medicine twice a day to keep him from have seizures and whenever we are away it is always an added stress having to wonder if he is getting his medication on time. We never have to worry even for a minute with Caroline! She sends updates with pictures and is always quick to respond. Definitely goes above and beyond and I can’t be more thankful for her and how it allows us to relax when we’re away from our little Norm.

Frequently Asked Questions

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Charleston cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $23.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
