I am so excited to become part of the Meowtel family and to meet new people and their fur babies! I am a native of Charleston and recently retired from the medical management field. I consider myself to be organized, trustworthy and dedicated to providing excellent care, attention and devotion to your baby.
I have been blessed to take in numerous rescues over the years and have two babies of my own that are my life and commitment. I worked in the past with the TNR program and still continue to take care of my colony, which is near my home... Hello Pawrents!

I have been blessed to take in numerous rescues over the years and have two babies of my own that are my life and commitment. I worked in the past with the TNR program and still continue to take care of my colony, which is near my home. I’ve had experience in caring for newborns and administering oral and topical medications. If you’ve ever taken care of a newborn kitten, you most likely have felt that bond that is undescribable… and unbreakable, also learning that cats are very intelligent and crave love. It’s important to me that any animal that I take care of receives that from me. They aren’t just animals to me, they are special and deserve the best!
When I enter your home, I will enter as if I’m walking into my own place, with respect, privacy and commitment.
I look forward to meeting you and your extended family and will commit to creating a safe and secure environment for your cat. It’s my priority to ensure you a stress free time away from your baby!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I’ve been cat sitting for over 20 years but new to Meowtel. I consider numerous things when sitting and make every booking a unique experience for your cat, they are all very special and special.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
It's heartwarming to me to see the joy in an animals eyes when they are happy. I love spending time with them. Bringing them comfort and a feeling of security is very important to me.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Over the past 20 years I’ve had 8 cats that filled my heart with joy. I presently have 2 cats. Tyler is my orange boy who is almost 5 and I recently adopted a baby sister, EllieMae, for him because he lost his brother a couple months back … I believe all cats should have a companion.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
It's important to me as a parent to see enthusiasm during the "meet and greet" and know that they have cats themselves. Someone who has a history with rescue and/or volunteering makes a difference to me.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
A lot of communication and note taking is so important. Also what they expect of me and are comfortable with me before sitting is a priority and that they are clear about what the needs are for their cat.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I would welcome the parent into my home, if necessary, to show them the life I offer my cats. I can provide a reference and referral from my own vet who is very well respected in the area. I can assure you I would never have anyone but me enter your home and I would spend balanced time with them during my sitting.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Depends on the Holiday and what day it falls on. My calendar will reflect when I am available on those days.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I’m very particular about anxious cats, I have one myself. I’m patient and never forceful with them. I allow them to get to feel me out and be comfortable with the new person that has come into their “space “

Deb was absolutely AMAZING! I booked her to care for my elderly Mother's cats while she was away for a week. She was everything you would want in a cat sitter. She responded immediately with her availability for the job. She contacted my Mother and scheduled a visit to meet the kitties. She immediately provided daily updates after every visit, including pictures, videos, and a written description about each of the 3 cats. Deb is a warm, loving, and very responsible cat sitter. She is also very knowledgable about cats. I will definitely book her for any future trips for my Mother.

Deb was absolutely wonderful! I moved to a new area and didn’t have anyone to ask to watching loties, and I was nervous to invite someone I didn’t know to do so! But Deb was so warm and welcoming and I felt super safe leaving my kitties in her hands. She did great and I will absolutely ask her next time I need a kitty sitter! Thank you Deb!!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day
- November 23-29: Thanksgiving
- December 22-28: Christmas
- December 29-31: New Year's 2027

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Charleston cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet!
