Veterinary science was my original major, but I switched since I knew I couldn’t bear the thought of ... My name is Lotus! I am 22 and a psychology student in my senior year of university. I have grown up with cats and love animals more than I can explain. If I’m not with animals or doing school work you can usually find me in church, all that I do is for God!
Veterinary science was my original major, but I switched since I knew I couldn’t bear the thought of putting animals down in the field. I am knowledgeable and gentle with animals of all kinds, but cats have a special place in my heart!
I offer strictly drop-in sitting, but that’s not limited to time! A few minutes to a few hours, just let me know and we can work something out :) Thank you for your trust in my abilities, I’d love to love on your fur babies!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have cat sit for a while now, probably around 5 years, as many of my friends own cats and travel frequently! I have cat sit in my dorm community, as well as for neighboring areas near my hometown (Greenville, SC).
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
My grandma has 3 kitties that I love as my own. Their names are Lucy, Harley, and Hope! My baby, Haynes, is no longer with us, but he was certainly my son, and the king of the household!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I’ve found that owners typically know best about their cat’s needs, but in times where a cat is more timid than expected, I try to take a “still” approach. Cats are naturally very curious creatures, so when they seem stand-offish, I like to sit on the floor and stay frozen or find an activity that doesn’t require movement, so they begin to feel comfortable enough to approach me! If this does not work, I reach out to their owner and allow the cat their space and distance.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
