What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
There’s something about gaining a cat’s trust that is so gratifying! I honestly enjoy every aspect of cat sitting. I love learning about every individual cat’s personality.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
My favorite cat who I watched was a frequent flyer at the vet I worked at. She had hyperthyroidism, arthritis, and a strict diet. I loved being able to see her and how she was outside of the vet.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have 3 cats of my own. Ollie (orange tabby) who was dropped off at the vet office I previously worked at. He’s VERY sweet to everyone but me (he was my first cat so I didnt know you weren’t supposed to use your hands to play with them), Panini (orange tabby) who was a pregnant stray that I took in during hurricane Helene, she is now a tri-pod due to unknown injury from being a stray and she is super sweet with everyone at my house but timid to new people, and finally I have Sparkle (black tortoise shell) who is one of panini’s kittens who is just the sweetest girl ever
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I am huge on getting to know the cat parent’s normal schedule with their furbabies. It’s good to know their litter box habits, eating habits, and playing!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I will sit and offer treats and toys. Patience is key. I am a firm believer of allowing pets to be the ones to greet me vs me forcing an interaction!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Greer cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $24.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
