As a lifelong cat owner with a deep passion for feline companions, I understand the unique needs and quirks of these wonderful creatures. With a little bit of experience in the veterinary field as a certified vet aid, I am well-equipped to provide exceptional care for your beloved cat.
Trust me to be the purrfect choice for your feline friend's well-being. As of right now I own five cats all with different personalities, some with medical needs, and some with special food. So I can take care of your feline companion with compassion and understanding as if they were my own.
I clean houses, but have also been in the veterinary field with my veterinarian assistant certification.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I've cat sat for my parents, and my Aunt a few times. But I have had cats my entire life.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Hanging out with the cats and learning their personalities, as well as making sure they are happy and healthy while mom and dad are gone.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
Honestly I have so many. They are all wonderful. I have loved all of my cat reservations and getting to know each and every one of them.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I do, I have six cats Clementine, Finnegan, Kovu, Queso, Jeanette, and Eleanor. We just recently lost our oldest Luna.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
This will give you some peace of mind while away. I would look for someone that fits yours and your cats needs. Don't be afraid to say no thank you.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
They usually reach out to me with dates and times. I start by introducing myself, getting a general idea of what dates and times they are looking for and try and work with them. We book a meet and greet and I get to know them and their fur babies. We also talk about food, favorite toys, things the cat or cats like to do, water, litter box. I will communicate when I leave the house and when I get to the sitting. I like to use videos more than pictures so the owner can see more of what's going on. I will usually greet cat or cats, food, water, then litterbox, and then we hang out and depending on the cat play.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I make sure they have what they need, I check around the house itself for things like food, water, litter. What needs to be replenished or cleaned. I check on the cat or cats how are they acting or looking.
Are you usually available during holidays?
No, sometimes we go out of town. Sometimes we have people at the house. I try to do the best I can regarding availability.
What is your favorite cat toy?
My favorite cat toy is a laser, I love to watch the cats play with that toy. Actually I have two, I also like wands.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Calm, and gentle encounters, as well as being patient. I usually get food ready, any medications needed, clean litter boxes, and sit in the general area giving them space and talk to them. Treats also don't hurt.

We cannot say enough about how absolutely fantastic Amelia was looking after our 3 kitties while we were out of the country for over a week! We were so nervous about leaving, especially our elderly boy who requires daily medication and some extra care. The minute I met Amelia for the “meet and greet”, I knew our babies would be in good hands! While we were gone, Amelia took the time to send us numerous videos and updates every single day and it was obvious that our kitties were receiving excellent care - not only did Amelia make sure the daily tasks were done well, but she took the time to play with them and love on them, just like we would have if we were home!! We were able to enjoy our vacation so much more knowing that our babies were in excellent, loving hands. Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Dalzell cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
