What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have taken care of cats pretty much all of my life. I have cat sat for family and friends for more than 10 years. I have also cat sat as a Meowtel sitter when Meowtel was still pretty new.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I enjoy meeting and getting to know new cats. I love all cats, even the spicy ones. It makes it extra special when they accept you.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
My favorite cat sitting reservation was through Meowtel years ago. I cared for two orange and white sibling cats. I still remember their names - Peach and Mango. They were so incredibly sweet and playful. I had them jumping high after their string toys. They had so much energy! They both loved pets and scritches just as much as playtime!
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes! My kitties names are Sushi, Talulah, Enzo, and Rilo. I also named my ferals I care for. Their names are Sherbert, Felix, Doom, and Coyote
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
I suggest reading through the sitter profiles to find which sitter aligns best with the needs of your babies. If you have a cat that requires extra care - such as oral medications or injectables, obviously you’ll be better off with a sitter that’s experienced with such.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
A meet and greet is beneficial to both me and the pet parent. I get to meet them and their kitties and answer any questions they may have and vice versa.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes, I am available most holidays. I typically travel for a few days on Thanksgiving, but all other holidays I am around.
What is your favorite cat toy?
You cannot go wrong with feathers on a string! I also love laser pointers and watching kitties chase after them!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I respect anxious kitties by giving them space. I avoid being loud or making fast movements around them. I make sure to read their body language to see whether they wish to engage with me.

I cannot say enough positive things about Britt - I booked her last minute to watch my 8 month old kitten Louie while I travelled to visit family over Christmas. My experience working with her was wonderful! Very professional, great communication, and I could tell my kitty loved her immediately. She spent a lot of time playing with Louie and sent tons of videos, pics and updates on his habits and schedule which put me at ease. You can tell Britt cares deeply for cats and has a natural way with them - I would highly recommend her and would book her in the future!

Britt was an amazing sitter for our Charlee! We were gone for almost a week and Britt came every day not only to feed her and check on her, but also played with her and gave her all the love and scritches she needed! She also kept us up to date with pictures, videos and messages. What an amazing person she is and you can tell she really loves her job and the fur babies she takes care of!! We will definitely use Britt again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, wonderful person to care for your cat! 100/100 recommend!

Britt was wonderful! She came over for a meet and greet to get the game plan. It was my first time using her and I got so lucky picking her to sit my two cats. You can tell she takes her pet sitting seriously - gave me wonderful and detailed updates and photos after each visit, the place looked great when I returned and my two kitties didn’t looked stressed at all when I returned which is usually the case when I have used other pet sitters. She even offered to take the trash out on her own accord. I highly recommend her!!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Summerville cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $24.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
