I have taken care of cats (and dogs) for 30 years. I was also a pet sitter full time for 3.5 years and worked at a veterinary hospital for 5 years. I have experience with all ages of cats and their varying personalities... I’ve been very lucky to have had four cats in my lifetime who each walked off the street and into my life. The “Cat Distribution System” at work! I currently have two fur kids - a cat named Summer and a Golden Retriever named Wyatt.

I pride myself in being professional, reliable and trustworthy. I will treat your cat like they are my own and give them a lot of love and attention. I will keep both your cat and home safe. You can feel comfortable knowing your instructions will be followed exactly as you have requested. I love taking photos so you will get some great ones and an update after each visit. While you are away, I want your cat to be happy and have a good time too!

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I set up a free meet and greet with the parent and their cat. I think it is important for the cat to have met me as well as their parent. I’d want to find out the cat’s likes and dislikes, discuss the caring instructions and receive a key or code to enter their home. I would also like to know if there is anything else they’d want me to do for them while I am there. For instance, taking in the mail/packages and putting out the garbage.
Are you usually available during holidays?
I know a lot of people need a cat sitter for the holidays. I make sure I am available to fill that need.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I start by talking softly and not making any big movements. I would watch to see what made the cat most comfortable and provide that to them. At the meet and greet, I always like to ask for the cat’s secret hiding places so I can make sure they are ok while I am there.

Amy took wonderful care of all 6 of our kitties including our 2 outdoor, neighborhood cats. One of my cats takes gabapentin every night and I was worried with him being a shy cat, that he wouldn’t be accessible to give his meds. However, Amy managed to administer his meds like a pro each night! It brings my family great peace of mind to know that we have someone we can trust to look after our cats as if they were her own when we go out of town!

I cannot speak more highly of Amy as a catsitter. She really loved my cats and treated them as her own. They had experienced some recent trauma, and two of them had to be separated as a result. Although they are completely healed, Amy was aware of the special precautions I had in place & definetely took care to adhere to them. It was clear that my cats were calm and happy by the pictures that Amy sent daily. She also summarized their day for me, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I can't emphasize how important it is to know that your pets are happy & well cared for in your absence. That's exactly what you'll get if you hire Amy. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have found her!

My experience with my cat sitter Amy was fantastic. She took amazing care of my cats (Egyptian maus) while I was away, sending daily updates and photos that really put my mind at ease. It was clear my cats were comfortable and well cared for and felt safe with her. One of my cat is a picky eater and eats slows, but Amy managed the situation well. I feed my cats raw food twice a day, so Amy came always twice a day. Amy was available for even a last minute call. She also took care of bringing in the mails. I came home to a happy, relaxed cats and everything in perfect order. Highly recommend Amy as cat sitter!

You know you’ve found a good one when you schedule your vacation around caregiver availability! Amy’s service provides all of the things you’d expect in a caregiver. She works to the schedule for care, she is always prompt, she is great with any special feeding instructions, and has never backed out on any agreement or missed a schedule. What sets her apart though is the genuine care for the well being of your animals. We’ve had different sitters before and when we came home after an extended time the animals seemed stressed. When we get home after having been in Amy’s care it’s as if we never left, which means the world to us. I wish we were still in Amy's zone of care as we have been hard pressed to find anyone we trust as much with our animals.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
