Cat Sitting in Chattanooga, TN

Hi, I’m Christina! I have been a passionate cat lover and caregiver for over 16 years. I know that cats are happiest when they can stay in the comfort of their own home, and my goal is to give your furry family members the same royal treatment I always want for my own three special girls.

I have extensive experience caring for cats of all life stages and temperaments. Whether your kitty is a high-energy kitten who loves feather wands, a shy sweetie who needs time to warm up, or a senior cat who just wants a quiet cuddle, I instinctively adapt my approach to match their unique personality and comfort level...

Whether your kitty is a high-energy kitten who loves feather wands, a shy sweetie who needs time to warm up, or a senior cat who just wants a quiet cuddle, I instinctively adapt my approach to match their unique personality and comfort level.

I am highly comfortable managing specialized care routines, including administering oral medications like gabapentin capsules, hiding meds in treats, or applying routine topical preventatives like flea and tick treatments. I know how critical keeping up with a health schedule is, and I always approach medicating with patience, reassurance, and a gentle touch.

During my visits, I do much more than just scoop the litter and refill the food and water bowls. I spend dedicated, quality time playing, brushing, and keeping your cat company according to their exact preferences.

You can expect detailed daily updates and plenty of high-quality photo messages after every single visit so you can enjoy total peace of mind while traveling.

I look forward to meeting you and your feline companions for a complimentary Meet & Greet!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have had kitties since I was 12 years old. My first kitty was a timid and playful orange cat named, "Teady!" He truly grew my absolute love and adoration for felines. Currently, I have 3 girls that have found their way into my adult life. Sophia was my first girl that I rescued from an outside farm, she's a beautiful gray calico that loves to be loved! I then rescued Lily a few months later from a similar situation, and she's also a sweet calico. My third baby is Delilah. I rescued her from being dumped near my old aparment. She's very shy and timid, but really loves playing with her sisters and getting chin scratches. Delilah has a beautiful gray and black striped fur pattern!

What is your favorite cat toy?

My cats and I enjoy this cute rainbow caterpillar from petco! It is a fun toy that has feathers, a stick, and it somehow always ends up unattached from the stick eventually.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I never force interactions and I let the kitty come to me and engage first. I'll sit nearby with my palm up, move slowly, talk in a low and soothing tone, and avoid intimidating direct-eye contact. If a cat chooses to stay in their hiding spot, then I bring their food and water to them, so that they can eat where they are comfortable. I want to respect their space, while also making sure they feel safe and secure. As a cat mom to a timid girl myself, I understand that building trust with an anxious cat requires immense patience, consistency, and a gentle touch.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

Chattanooga cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $24.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet!
