What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I am not hesitant to tell you I am new to the cat sitting game! Despite being new to being paid to watch cats, I am very experienced in loving and caring for cats of my own, and am extremely passionate about cats in general. I hope my newness to the sitting scene does not drive you away, as I am eager to make sure you and your kitty both have the most positive experience possible while you are away.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I get so much enjoyment of just being in the proximity of a cat. At home, I literally throw on livestreams of cat shelters on my tv and sit there watching more than I watch actual tv shows 😹. I love building relationships with cats (and just animals in general) and finding out how to mutually become better friends. As I’m sure you know, the beginning stage of friendship with a new cat is often a skeptical one on their end, and I take passion in the ability to ease this skepticism and gain their trust and make them feel safe and loved. I also enjoy caring for them and making sure they have what they need outside of love. Playing is probably my favorite part of this! I have a pretty good grip on how to get their wheels turning with a toy 😼

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I am eager to communicate deeply with cat parents and make sure I am completely understanding of their preferences and any kind of unique treatments or noteworthy information. Just as I want your kitty to feel safe, secure, and trusting with me, I value that cat parents themselves feel the same! I am open to texting, calling, FaceTiming, or meeting in person prior to make sure we are all on the same page and happy!

Colin was great every step of the way. He visited our home days before his first scheduled visit to meet us and our cat, and to make sure her understood everything needed to meet her needs. He sent us informative updates with pictures for every visit, and quickly won over our cat with kindness, toys and treats. We could also tell things went really well because our cat was not stressed when we returned home after nearly six days away.

Colin was exceptional! My two cats Maple&Leo warmed up to him immediately, even though Maple is usually a lot more hesitant and reserved around strangers. She even gave him him head bumps and hugs at the M&G. Colin’s calm demeanor and clear ease with new cats made me confident in his ability to care holistically for our cats. Even though Colin only visited once, he went above and beyond and cleaned both cat’s bowls and was thorough in leaving things as he found them. Colin clearly enjoyed bonding with our cats and gave them lots of attention while we were away. I highly recommend Colin.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.

The Meowtel Promise & Satisfaction Guarantee

We are proud to provide each of our independently-contracted Meowtel cat sitters with the full benefits of our Meowtel Promise on eligible reservations. For reservations where each visit is at or above $20 and paid for through Meowtel, your cat(s) will automatically be covered under our insurance policy in the event that things don't go as planned.

If you are not fully satisfied with your sitter after the Meet & Greet or during the reservation, please call 1-844-636-9835 so we can help you re-book with a new sitter to ensure we can deliver on our purrfect hospitality promise.
