🥞 Food: Wet food, dry food, fresh food, automatic feeder, churus, and treats! You name it, I'll provide it... Hi, my name is Bri-meow-na. I would absolutly love the opportunity to care for your most important furry family members while you are away! As a fellow cat mom myself, I know how important they are to us.

🪴🪮Extras: I'd be happy to water your plants or help brush those heavy shedders as well!
😸😸About me: I have about 10 years of animal care experience as a zookeeper! I only recently left the zookeeping world to take on a new roll as an environmental scientist! While I love making a difference for the environment, I miss the animals so much!
Meowtel allows me to put my animal care skills and passion to use in caring for the BEST animals.. cats!
🐾My past experiences also includes time spent as a pet care specialist at a pet store where I cared for the adoptable cats. I have also been kennel technician at a vet clinic where I assisted in administrating medications and caring for in-patients and boarded kitties.
🐆I have 5 cats of my own and are all very different in ages, coats, and personalities including a long haired (Matt), a Bengal (Calvin), an elderly red kitty (Milo), a sweet tortie (Monet), and a stereotypical mischievous orange kitty (Max)! I love them dearly and they have taught me so much.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
My favorite part of cat sitting is growing my relationship with each individual cat. It's incredibly rewarding to see timid cats come more and more out of their shell with each visit and reservation. Some of my sweetest kitty clients have started out the most timid and scared.
What is your favorite cat toy?
My favorite cat toys are wands! Wands allow for close human to kitty interaction and can be personalized to how your cat plays specifically. Some like really fast motions so they can chase the toy, some like slow motions so they can hunt, and others like to capture the toy and never let it go! My cats go crazy for a butterfly wand. The realistic flutters of the butterfly unlock their natural instincts!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I handle cats that are particularly timid and anxious by respecting their boundaries. I’m a guest in their home. Sometimes it just takes a bit of patience and I’m willing to give a cat the time and space they need. In doing so, I may offer some treats or their favorite toys if available. Sometimes simply talking to them throughout the visit makes them feel more comfortable as well. If they remain timid, then I respect that and give them their space and wait for them to come around.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Knoxville cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
