My mother has an elderly diabetic cat, 2 other cats that are 15 years +, I know the medicine they take, how to give shots, feed and scoop poop and change the little box. I understand how to pick up cat throw up too and what all it entails.
I cannot have a cat due to my renters lease policy, however a stray cat adopted me as their owner. My kitty is Copper. He’s about 2 years old, lives outside but he has fresh food and water at 8 am and 8 pm every night. He has a scratching post and a chair he likes to sit on on the back patio. He also loves his little fluffy balls! He is a sweet, gentle, affectionate cat and he helps lower my anxiety.
My hope is to help lower yours as well when you’re away from your fur baby!

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Being with the kitties. Animals helps calm you and i appreciate the unconditional love animals bring. Thats what I enjoy most, spending time with them.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have 1 and he is an outside cat. He is an orange, tiger looking cat named Copper. Hes super affectionate and sweet!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I understand a change can scare the little babies. My process is to get on one knee so I’m not so tall. I hold out my hand (palm facing down) and wait for the kitty to smell me and sense out what they feel about me. Once I get a good sign, I’ll slowly go in for a pet on the head, if the cat pulls away, I read body language and I ease back letting them be in control of their emotions and environments.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
