Anna decided to leave the handle of our cat's toy wedged between our couch pillows so that the feather of the toy hung over the corner our expensive couch. This encouraged our cat to scratch at it all weekend we were gone. I have no idea why anyone with knowledge of cats would do this without thinking twice!! We have worked hard to train our cat not to scratch our furniture. Some corners of our couch did have a few scratches already, but the area where Anna left they toy was spotless and now it has been absolutely decimated. It looks awful. I would not recommend Anna as a cat sitter because this was a concrete demonstration of terrible decision making and disregard for our personal property.

I was nervous to go on vacation because it would be my first time being without my cats and them being without me since I got them. Anna set my heart at rest with morning and evening updates. I could see my cats were so happy and she stuck to their routine so well that they quickly felt safe with her. It actually even helped me see where I could do better for them too. I guess they got to have a vacation from our 2 kids while we had our family vacation...and they have stayed very happy since we came back too

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
