What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Being able to make new cat friends! Playing and cuddling with cats has to be the best past time there is!
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes! Marci and Belle! Marci is my first baby, she is a four year old tabby who LOVES belly rubs. Belle is a four year old very fluffy grey and white DLH.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
Visit the home in advance for a care run down and meeting you and your babies. Ask lots of questions to make sure I know the cat(s) as best as I can before being left alone. I want to ensure comfort for the cat parent, cat, and myself.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes! I do not usually leave town for holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Easter, or 4th of July.
What is your favorite cat toy?
String teaser toys and tunnels!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Be patient! Not every cat is going to like you, unfortunately. Cats aren't the most outgoing and friendly animals, so there has to be extra patience and love for the anxious ones. Treats can help, along with pretending you don't care about them so it can spark curiosity then they can approach you on their own.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Wonderful Pet Sitter! Sessna was absolutely wonderful with Mr. Pickles while I was away! 🐾❤️ From the very beginning, I could tell he was in great hands. She was attentive to his needs, made sure he had plenty of food and water, kept his litter boxes clean, and gave him lots of love and attention. What I appreciated most were the thoughtful updates. She took the time to let me know how he was doing, noticed little things like his hairball, and even made sure it was cleaned up before leaving. When his water fountain stopped working, she didn’t just overlook it—she checked it, made sure his backup water was full, and let me know what was happening. She also respected Mr. Pickles’ personality and his safe space while still giving him plenty of affection. Her updates made it so easy for me to relax and enjoy my time away knowing he was happy, comfortable, and cared for. I’m so grateful to Sessna for treating Mr. Pickles like he was her own. I would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, attentive, and dependable to care for their pets. Mr. Pickles definitely approved! 🐱💕

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Nashville cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Sessna was patient with my ball of fluff which gave my cat the space she needed given the sudden changes that come with traveling while putting in the effort to befriend her. After a few days I could tell my cat was feeling better thanks to Sessna’s visits. My cat went from having me worried after not seeing her for a couple days to being caught live on cat cam enjoying the sun for hours at a time while she was alone.
