I’m calm, patient, and very tuned in to kitty body language... Hi there! I’m Jillian, a lifelong cat lover based in Nashville with more than 25 years of experience caring for cats. I’ve shared my life with cats since childhood and currently have three of my own, Benny, Joon, and Sam, named after the movie Benny & Joon. Over the years, I have fostered kittens and looked after, visited, and befriended many cats. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of feline personalities, routines, and the little quirks that make each one special.
I’m calm, patient, and very tuned in to kitty body language. I always let cats set the pace, whether that means giving a shy kitty space to warm up or offering gentle affection and playtime to more social cats. I love gaining the trust of reserved cats and making them feel safe and comfortable.
I’m very attentive to each cat’s individual needs and habits. I follow care instructions carefully, pay close attention to how they’re feeling, and do my best to keep their routine steady so they stay comfortable while you’re away.
During every visit, I refresh food, water, and litter, spend meaningful time with your cat based on their comfort level, and send clear updates with photos or videos so you always know how they’re doing. I’m punctual, organized, and respectful of your home.
My goal is to give every cat the same patience, care, and affection I give my own and to give you complete peace of mind while you’re away. I would love the chance to care for your furry family member.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
One of my favorite reservations has been caring for my friend’s kitten, Kimchi, a sweet brown Burmese with a gentle meow and an affectionate personality. He knows me as “Auntie Jillian,” and I love being his honorary cat aunt.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
My husband and I have three cats: Sam, Benny, and Joon. Sam is a tortoiseshell tabby mix (a torby!) who likes to take her time warming up but is incredibly affectionate once she trusts you. Benny and Joon are littermates with big personalities and a very sweet sibling bond. Before them, we shared 13 wonderful years with our tabby mix, Tobias, who had more nicknames than I can count.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Absolutely. I know holidays can be the most stressful time to find reliable care, and I’m flexible and easy to work with.

Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:

- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Nashville cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Top choice as a cat sitter every time! Jillian goes above and beyond typical feeding and litter duties. While I’m away I receive videos of my little guy enthusiastically playing and circled up purring on her lap. My previous cat who was entering his older years required medicine and consistent monitoring. I traveled without fear knowing she kept him safe, comfortable, and happy. With my new kitten, she was able to satiate his massive energy for playtime and cuddles. Being a loving cat owner herself, she is able to understand cats cues and match whatever makes them comfortable. Regardless of the age or temperament of the cat, Jillian is equipped to handle it. Extremely trustworthy, excellent communicator, reliable, and a true cat lover herself, Jillian will always be my first call.
