I work a full-time job that requires open availability between 7AM to 10PM and so am able to accept a limited number of reservations. I will be available for mostly morning reservations but can open my availability calendar on a case-by-case basis. Most days I work midday, and so may be able to accommodate evening/twice a day reservations. Feel free to message me for details, especially if you are an existing client! My cat-sitting routine involves setting a timer for the duration of the visit, playing music, and thoroughly going through your cats' care routine. I really enjoy when there is extra time to play with the cats or pet them! I enjoy cat sitting for the experience of meeting new cats! I enjoy learning what each owner does to care for their cats, and I adapt my routine to uniquely care for each pet.
My current cats are named Richard Simmons. I adopted them over three years ago from the SPCA in Dallas. Richard was first, but he hid for a few months. So I knew he needed a brother and adopted Simmons. (Richard's name was as is at the shelter; I may have chosen Simmons...) They were instant friends. I'm happy to have found them. They were both brought to the shelter from cruelty cases, one day apart from each other.
Along with having my own pets, I have also pet sat for my friends, who have asked me to multiple times!
Booking includes complimentary meet and greet and takes into consideration travel time/distance. I look forward to helping care for your cats! I will spend my time by first going through your cat's set routine and then spending any additional time petting and playing with your cats!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I've now been with Meowtel since June of 2023. This is the most fun I've had working. I love being a part of Meowtel and taking care of cats.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I am flexible with the meet and greet to accommodate your schedule. I have a checklist of questions, take lots of notes, and make sure to understand everything about how you want your cat to be cared for. I like taking photos to send to you and look out for photo opportunities, and I send thorough updates about your cat as well as the progress of our relationship.
What is your favorite cat toy?
Wands can be fun, watching the cats chase them, and sometimes interpretive dancing with them.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I just try to go at their speed. Slowly introducing myself is key, along with just spending time on their level and togetherness, even if that's sitting on the floor while they hide under the bed.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Dallas cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
