I definitely prefer cats over dogs. They are by far the best! Cats rule and dogs d... Cats are my life-literally. I have owned cats from the age of just a few months to present day(41 years). I also ran a home pet sitting service for a few years where I cared for cats and also offered overnight boarding as well.
I definitely prefer cats over dogs. They are by far the best! Cats rule and dogs drool😜 I currently have a Siamese and a Bombay. A girl and boy. Along with my human kids, they are my babies too.
As far as my visits, I always send updates to the clients(picture and videos) as long as the cats aren’t too shy and hiding somewhere lol. I also always give them plenty of loving if they allow it😊

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have been sitting since 2014, and I have been caring for my own cats since I was a teen. I would say I have advanced experience.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
What I enjoy most about cat sitting is the purrs and cuddles. I also enjoy getting to play with them
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
My favorite reservation was a calico. She was shy and clingy to her parents during the meet, but as soon as the visits started she immediately came up to me and would cuddle in my lap as long as she could.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes I have kitties myself. I have them literally since I was a baby. My current cats names are Ash and Mouse
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Pick me! Just kidding🤣 I would say just research online and interview a few until you feel you have met one that you are the most comfortable with and feel your cats would have the best care with.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
Locking the door when I go in and out, and making sure any toys, food, and treats are back in place when I leave.
What is your favorite cat toy?
My favorite toy is the feather wand. Out of all the cats I have sat over the years, this seems to be their favorite also.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
First thing, give them space. If they are timid or anxious I wait for them to feel comfortable enough to come to me. Because approaching them or trying to force anything will just cause them to become even more so.

Kristen was very quick to respond to my reservation request. When she came by to introduce herself, my cat warmed up to her very quickly and I felt comfortable knowing my cat would be in good hands. Kristen gave me good and timely updates about each visit, with nice photos. I would recommend her to anyone and would call on her again in the future.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day
- November 23-29: Thanksgiving
- December 22-28: Christmas
- December 29-31: New Year's 2027

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Dallas cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
