I love all animals big and small, but anyone with a cat knows they are exceptional creatures. Wicked smart and derpy, lazy and zoomie, sassy and doting, fiercely independent and clingy.....all rolled up into a little (sometimes not so little) ball of adorable fluff (and sometimes no fluff, but still adorable).
I've been in veterinary medicine for 24 years, the last 15 in emergency and critical care... With over 20 years of experience in veterinary nursing and pet sitting....I'm here to put your mind at ease when you can't be with your furry family!
I love all animals big and small, but anyone with a cat knows they are exceptional creatures. Wicked smart and derpy, lazy and zoomie, sassy and doting, fiercely independent and clingy.....all rolled up into a little (sometimes not so little) ball of adorable fluff (and sometimes no fluff, but still adorable).
I've been in veterinary medicine for 24 years, the last 15 in emergency and critical care. Each week I lovingly tend to the needs of kitties hospitalized with various ailments ranging from the minor to highly intensive one-on-one monitoring. When I'm not with my patients, I can be found looking after the cat's and dogs of friends, family and colleagues.
Because of this experience I am quite familiar with feline health concerns and medications....how they work, how they are administered, what to watch for, etc. I certainly won't say I've seen it all but I've seen my share, and that enables me to stay cool, calm and collected in just about any situation.
My extensive contact with cats has granted me a deep understanding of their behavior, especially in stressful situations. I appreciate that each cat is unique and will therefore set the pace and tone of the visit as they see fit.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
What I enjoy most about cat sitting is getting to socialize with all the different cats! I would love to be a crazy cat lady with a million and one cats but obviously that's not ideal for anyone involved......so I get to vicariously live out those aspirations in a healthier manner.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have one cat.....Bean. He's a handsome, charming chonk with a couple extra toes on each foot (I have a soft spot for polydactyls). His daily objectives include making enchanting teradactyl noises for cookies, suprise ambushes from various hideouts around the house, finally catching that laser light, and sunbathing.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
The best advice I could give to a customer looking to hire a cat sitter is don't be afraid to be as clear and concise as possible in regard to expectations and requirements. It's always better to have too much information than not enough when entering a new arrangement.

Megan was absolutely incredible and we couldn’t recommend her more! She truly treated our two little boys as one of our own and made us feel so comfortable when we had to go out of town! One of our cats also had a UTI for the first time right before we had to go out of town and knowing that Megan was there to watch them and make sure everything was looking ok was incredibly reassuring! Her picture updates are incredible and we couldn’t recommend her more!

Megan did a fabulous job with our two boys. I'm pretty sure they are hoping she comes in when our front door opens. She kept us updated on them throughout our vacation and sent amazing pictures and videos of them to us. She left our house clean and even brought in the mail and watered the plants. Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Denton cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $27.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

I wish I could give more stars! Megan was the perfect cat-sitter for my shy old boi. My cat needs meds twice a day so I was really worried about going out of town but Megan put me at ease right away. She really took the time to get to know me and my cat during the meet and greet, so I knew he'd be in good hands. Lots of photos and video updates every day, and everything in its proper spot when I got home. I'm not sure my cat even noticed I was gone 😸 1000% recommend, will book again next time I have to travel.

Leaving home and being concerned about your pets can be stressful, but knowing you have a consistent and dependable pet sitter helps! Megan took care of my fur-kids like they were her own and took time to adjust to their quirky personalities. My house was cleaner than I left it and arriving home with everything in order was a great welcome back! The cats seemed to give me the “you’re not Megan!” look when I came in the door so they were spoiled for sure. She met all their needs and more!

She is the ultimate cat owners dream sitter! Not only is she hard working, kind and caring. But she will go above and beyond caring for cats. Between giving scratches and chin scritches she is out in the vet field saving and caring for pets. She can be mindful of your cats personality and home. She will be patient and do whatever she needs to to keep your cat comfortable and make sure they eat/drink well. She will go above and beyond in loving and snuggling them. She can medicate your cat if they need injections or oral medications; most cat sitters can’t do this and as most know cats are challenging to medicate. She is a pro!
