Cat Sitting in El Paso, TX

I’m a longtime cat owner with two cats of my own, so I understand how important it is to have someone reliable, patient, and attentive caring for them while you’re away. I know cats can have very different personalities, from social and playful to shy and cautious, and I’m happy to let each cat warm up at their own pace.

I’m a longtime cat owner with two cats of my own, so I understand how important it is to have someone reliable, patient, and attentive caring for them while you’re away. I know cats can have very different personalities, from social and playful to shy and cautious, and I’m happy to let each cat warm up at their own pace.

During visits, I’ll follow your cat’s normal feeding, litter, and care routine as closely as possible. I’m comfortable with playtime, brushing, basic medication routines, and simply sitting quietly with cats who prefer company without too much interaction.

I pay attention to each cat’s individual personality and routine rather than treating every visit the same. Some cats want immediate attention and play, while others do better with more space and a slower approach. My goal is to keep things calm, familiar, and predictable so your cat can stay as comfortable as possible while you’re away.

Learn More About Ezekiel

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have two cats of my own, Aldo and Norie. Aldo is 7 and was adopted as a kitten from Whisker Tales Rescue while we were stationed in Augusta, Georgia. He had been rescued from a drain hole in the parking lot of a VA hospital, and we named him LT Aldo Raine. Norie is 4 and was adopted as a tiny kitten from a foster family in Salinas, California while we were stationed at DLI. She is named after her foster mom, Mrs. Noriega. They have very different personalities, which has taught me a lot about how differently cats respond to people, routines, and new situations.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I like to start by learning as much as I can about your cat’s normal routine so I can keep things as familiar as possible while you’re away. I’ll ask about feeding, litter habits, favorite toys, personality, hiding spots, medications, and anything else that helps me understand what your cat is used to. I also make sure I have clear instructions for entry, emergency contacts, and your veterinarian before the first visit. During the stay, I follow the routine we discussed and adjust my approach based on how your cat is responding.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I make safety a priority from the moment I arrive until I leave. I’m careful about doors and windows, make sure your cat is accounted for before I leave, and follow any specific instructions you have for entering and securing the home. I also keep keys and access information secure and avoid making unnecessary changes to your cat’s environment. If anything seems unusual with your cat or the home, I’ll let you know right away rather than guessing.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

El Paso cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $22.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet!
