What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
What I enjoy most about cat sitting is getting to spend time with kitties! I love getting to know each cat’s unique personality. Some cats love to play and be social, while others prefer a calm, quiet companion + I love how they can tell that to us without even speaking! It’s really special to build trust with a cat over time. It’s a bonus to give cat parents peace of mind on their travels 😸
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes! I have a cat of my own, Rue, and absolutely adore her. She is a street cat I rescued when she was a Kitten & now is a spoiled 8 year old girl! Being a cat parent myself helps me understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. I used to get so anxious about my girl when I would leave + I know how much fuller you can enjoy your trip when you know they are happy & healthy!!
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
When working with a new cat parent, I like to start with clear communication so I can learn about their cat’s personality, routines, and any specific needs. If possible, I’m happy to do a meet-and-greet beforehand so both the cat and owner feel comfortable. During visits, I follow the cat’s usual routine as closely as possible…feeding, refreshing water, cleaning the litter box, and spending quality time playing or simply keeping them company depending on what they prefer. I always send updates and photos so owners can see how their cat is doing. My goal is to make the experience stress-free for both the cat and their owner.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day
- November 23-29: Thanksgiving
- December 22-28: Christmas
- December 29-31: New Year's 2027

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Fort Worth cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Bridget is a phenomenal cat sitter as she is responsible, caring, attentive, loving, and experienced. I have had the privilege of knowing Bridget for almost 6 years and continue to be impressed by her skill, her willingness and her professionalism. Bridget responds to my questions with my own cat quickly and calmly - always pointing me to helpful resources and providing reassurance. In my experience, all cats seem to know Bridget is a cat girl and even the most shy ones are comforted by her presence and demeanor. If Bridget was your cat sitter, you can rest assured that she will follow each instruction carefully, make sure your cat is. comfortable and safe and is always down for extra cuddles and pets. Bridget is a long time cat owner and her experience shows in the way she cares for her own cat in addition to others. Selfishly, I wish that Bridget and I still were in the same area as I would have her as my exclusive cat sitter. Cannot recommend Bridget more as a cat sitter, or as a person - she is the best!
