I'm Tirzah
Cat Sitting in Grand Prairie, TX
During visits, my goal is to keep your cat as comfortable and happy as possible by following their normal routine. I will feed them on schedule, clean litter boxes, refresh water, and give medications if needed. I also spend time playing with them, bringing toys or enrichment if needed, and giving them attention and affection if they want it. I always respect each cat’s personality and comfort level.
I also send regular updates and photos during visits so you can feel confident that your cat is safe and well cared for. I provide cat care services in Grand Prairie and surrounding areas and am available for drop-in appointments and overnights most days. My goal is to make sure your cat feels relaxed, loved, and comfortable while you’re away.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Despite working and living with them everyday, I still get so excited every time I get to meet a new cat because they are all so unique and special. I’ve never met two cats that were the same and my favorite part of cat sitting is getting to know the personalities of your sweet feline friends. Whether friendly or fractious, I believe that all cats are special and deserve the best possible care, and I love getting to give that to them!
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes! I have four cats of my own. Betsy is my sweet grey tabby who is almost 9 years old. Willow is my spicy girl who was adopted from the shelter I now work at, she’s almost 7, which is crazy because she’ll always be my baby. Hope was my very first foster who ended up being a foster fail. She’s about 6 years old now and still acts like a youngest, I love her though. Finally, we had grandma cat, a stray cat that comes inside sometimes, called grandma because we suspect she was the mother of Betsy’s mom!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I have such a heart for hissy kitties! When I am working with a timid or anxious cat, I do everything I can to make them comfortable. If they have a safe space, I will feed them there and give them space so as not to overstimulate them. I am very patient and will give a scared cat as much time as they need while still ensuring their health and comfort. I would provide the cat with enrichment such as treats hidden around a quiet room, cat TV to watch, and relaxing, quiet music to help calm their nervous system. Through calm, gentle, and persistent interaction, I have won the hearts of many hissy kitties and helped turn them into true love bugs. However, I believe that all cats deserve respect and love no matter how friendly or social they are!

Tirzah was a God send while we were traveling. This is the first time we have used a cat sitter. The cats told us they loved her! We loved her. She was dependable, accurate with their medications, and communicative with us. She was observant, kept her word in cleaning their box, refilling water, and cleaning up after their meals. Tirzah was amazing, this was the longest we’ve had to leave our sweet baby (for two weeks) so we were feeling very anxious about it, but Tirzah kept us updated with great communication, many pictures per day, and helped to relieve our anxiety and provide us with great comfort that our kitty was very well taken care of. She ensured litter boxes were scooped daily, fresh food and water was supplied, our plants were watered as well. I couldn’t ask for a better caretaker!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Grand Prairie cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $27.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

We had to make a last-minute trip out of town and our previous cat sitter could no longer help us. I found your website and this wonderful young woman, Tirzah, took such good care of our 2 cats, even though one of them never came out to see her.
