What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have cat sat for friends before and do so for my parents regularly. My husband was a vet tech and I grew up with cats all of my life. I’ve also been pet sitting on Meowtel for quite some time!

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

Making cat parents feel comfortable and secure - bc I always worry about my babies anytime I go out of town. I also just love getting to know new kitties!

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

I love cat sitting for my parents because their 3 Persians are so special and sweet. They have a lot of needs and I love knowing they feel so safe around me. I also have loved all kitten visits, so fun at that age! And older cats, they are just so sweet.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Yes! Momo, 6 and Zuko, 4! They are my perfect Angel boys that I love so much! 😻 they were both rescues.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

As a cat parent who hired a cat sitter via this app I thought it was helpful to write down all cat instructions to see what kind of sitter you’ll want!

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

A meet and greet! I love asking questions to get to know you and your cats. I want everyone to feel super comfortable.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I’m huge on triple checking everything! The safety of your cat(s) is vital to me and what I look for in a pet sitter for my own cats!

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes, my family all lives in Houston so I don’t travel for holidays. I can make most times work to visit before or after my family time.

What is your favorite cat toy?

Love kicker toys! Also anything on a stick that I can use to play with my new friends! My cats fav are scratcher toys!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I make sure they know I’m their friend and approach them with caution and always slowly. Plus, feeding always helps! Who doesn’t want treats?

From our first meet and greet, I felt confident in Kennedy's genuine love for cats and her knowledge of their care. She followed my instructions meticulously and paid close attention to their specific needs, including their feeding routine and supplements. While we were away, Kennedy provided consistent updates, with the sweetest pictures and videos. It was reassuring to see our cats warm up to her, and they appeared happy and comfortable in their own home. Knowing our cats were well cared for by someone so trustworthy and communicative made our trip much more relaxing. She truly felt like an extension of our family. Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
